SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE LIX

  • The LIX provides to its members one port on the LIX switch.
  • One IPv4 and IPv6 address on the LIX LAN and reverse DNS mapping for it.
  • Maintenance of LIX specific mailing lists.
  • Help-desk during office hours.
  • RESTENA will collect aggregated LIX traffic statistics.
  • RESTENA reserves the right to disconnect malfunctioning or misconfigured equipment from the LIX, this however only as a temporary measure to solve operational problems and subject to the prior consent of the involved ISP.
  • Both RESTENA and the involved ISP will apply reasonable effort to get the service connected again.
  • LIX memberships and peering status are made public by a LIX World Wide Web page (http://www.lix.lu) maintained by RESTENA. This page offers links to the individual LIX members home pages.
