Service ready for IPv6

CONNECTING PROCEDURES

Please follow the procedures on this page to connect your network to the LIX.

Receive a contract for a connection to the LIX

Contact admin@lix.lu in order to receive a "LIX Membership Agreement". Sign it and return it to RESTENA.

Receive connection details

After the contract for connecting to the LIX is signed by both parties, you will receive an IPv4 and an IPv6 address for your router and all the details needed to physically connect the router to the LIX equipment.

Your e-mail addresses will be added to the LIX e-mail distribution list members@lix.lu.

Install your routing equipment

Configure your router and install it at the LIX location. If you need colocation facilities please contact BCE Telecom Solutions.

Please take note that your router and everything behind your router is considered as part of your own infrastructure.

Connect to the LIX switch

To order the connection between your router and the LIX switch please contact BCE Telecom Solutions.

The available interfaces on the LIX switch are 10/100/1000baseT and 1000baseSX.

Arrange your peerings

After your connection is operational, you need to arrange for your own peerings. The parties that are connected to the LIX can be found on the LIX Members page.

In case there are any questions left after reading this page, please contact admin@lix.lu.
